Picket protesting homosexual propaganda on near Ukrainian parliament building

Kiev, July 5, Interfax - A picket is being held in front of the Ukrainian parliament building on Thursday demanding that bill, banning propaganda of homosexuality, be passed in Ukraine.

About 20 people have gathered, an Interfax correspondent has reported.

They unfurled posters on a fence in front of the building, with the inscriptions reading: "Homosexual Lobby Won't be Allowed to take Root in Ukraine!," "Homosexual Propaganda is a Crime!," "Deputies, Ministers Steer Clear of Perversions!"

Police are not interfering.

Meanwhile, a large police force has been deployed in Marriinsky Park near the building. Seven police vans can be seen parked nearby.
