Kudrin against Petersburg gay propaganda law, not seeking governor post

St. Petersburg, April 12, Interfax - Former Russian Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin has expressed skepticism over St. Petersburg's law banning homosexuality and pedophilia propaganda among underage citizens.

"I do not support this law, and it is enough," he said at an Interfax press conference in St. Petersburg on Thursday.

Kudrin also denied claims that he was seeking the post of St. Petersburg governor. "This initiative was born at the grassroots level," he said.
