St.Petersburg, April 5, Interfax - St.Petersburg Oktyabrsky District Court held Wednesday the first session on Moscow gay pride activist Nikolay Alexeyev's claim to the General Court MP of the Northern capital Vitaly Milonov on protecting honor and dignity.
"Today the first session was held, the respondent didn't come, but he sent his representative. Milonov's advocate showed the court a printout from a Ukrainian porno site as a prove that my work is financed by the West. But, I'm sorry I can't answer for everything that is written about me in some countries," Alexeyev told Interfax.
According to him, the respondent also asked the court to make an inquiry about Alexeyev's tax declaration with a description of his income. However, the judge refused the request of Milonov's advocate.
Besides, the court decided to attract as co-respondent a city mass media source Piter.TV that spread Milonov's words addressed to the plaintiff.
Alexeyev also said that a group of young people who, according to the gay activist, were sent by the head of the Narodny Sobor St.Petersburg branch Anatoly Artukh met him at the entrance to the court.
