Russian Church believes that Russia's foreign enemies behind anti-vaxxer campaign in country

Moscow, December 6, Interfax - The Russian Orthodox Church is of an opinion that the campaign against vaccination against Covid-19 in Russia is orchestrated from abroad by people who want Russians to become fully extinct.

"We have been losing over a thousand of people every day for many weeks now. [...] We could lose all of our population this way. And we must not forget that there are such forces outside our Homeland that are very interested in us becoming extinct gradually so that they could take our land. As the late martyred tsar Nicholas II said, they are afraid of our vastitude. And the foreign forces want to destroy this vastitude," Metropolitan Hilarion, the head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations, said on the Church and the World program on Rossiya 24 TV channel.

"I am deeply convinced that the virus got to us not by accident and this active campaign against vaccination, against QR codes, against any measures to protect our population continuing on the Internet and Telegram channels, this campaign is also being orchestrated from abroad and, unfortunately, many of our citizens become tools in the hands of those forces, perhaps, without even realizing that," he said.
