Kazan, November 12, Interfax - Tatarstan branches of the Russian Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service have detained three members of the Nurjular extremist organization, banned in Russia, a source in law enforcement told Interfax.
"A cell of the Nurjular extremist organization, banned in Russia, had been operating in Tatarstan since 2019. A pedagogue of a Kazan higher educational establishment was spreading the organization's ideology among Muslim students," the source said.
The cell met at safe houses.
Interfax has no official confirmation of the report yet.
