Russian LGBT Network press secretary arrested for 10 days for repeat violation of rallies regulations

Moscow, May 28, Interfax - The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow has found Temuuzhin Sambuudavaagiyn (Tim Bestsvet), press secretary for the Russian LGBT Network and a member of the Pussy Riot group, guilty of a repeat violation of the regulations for rallies.

"The court has found Bestsvet guilty of an offense envisaged by Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (repeat violation of the established procedures for organizing meetings and rallies) and sentenced him to ten days of administrative arrest," lawyer Mansur Gilmanov told Interfax on Friday.

An appeal will be filed, Gilmanov said.

Pussy Riot members put rainbow-colored flags on the buildings of the Federal Security Service, the presidential administration, and the Culture Ministry in Moscow in October 2020.
