Russian Jews launch a project Be free through vaccination

Moscow, March 26, Interfax - On the eve of the Passover celebrated to commemorate the exodus of Jews from the Egyptian slavery, the Russian Jewish Congress (RJC) holds an action Passover-2021: The Way to Freedom through Vaccination.

"Rabbies and leaders of Jewish organizations, renowned creative and public figures starred in a video urging to vaccinate against coronavirus, protect each other and regain freedom to travel," the RJC press service told Interfax.

Among the participants are initiator of the project and RJC President Yury Kanner, Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Moscow Pinchas Goldschmidt, President of the Holocaust Foundation Alla Gerber and others.

"A year ago we faced a virus, almost a year we lived in isolation, we were locked," Kanner said in his video address. "Today, before the Passover we are in relative freedom and it is given to us thanks to vaccination. A possibility to vaccinate is the way to freedom. This year we don't have to go through the Red Sea to gain freedom, it is enough to vaccinate. Get vaccinated and feel good!"
