Foreign Intelligence Service head compares those who insult WWII veterans to Nazi collaborators

Moscow, February 12, Interfax - People who intentionally insult WWII veterans put themselves on a par with Nazi collaborators, Foreign Intelligence Service Director and Russian Historical Society Chairman Sergey Naryshkin said.

"Immoral and blasphemous insults directed at our esteemed veterans, who come from the generation of victors, are cause for indignation. Those who intentionally utter such insults put themselves on a par with Nazi collaborators," Naryshkin said at the opening of an exhibition with the theme No Measure, No Name, No Comparison, dedicated to the genocide of the Soviet people and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Candles were lit before the exhibition opened as "a symbol of remembrance and grief for all fellow citizens of different nationalities who were victims of the Nazis and died fighting on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War."
