The FJCR president believes other countries to appreciate the importance of amendment about marriage as a union between a man and a woman

Moscow, July 2, Interfax - Countries of the whole world will return to traditional values and will eventually appreciate Russia's position on marriage as a union between a man and a woman, President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia Alexander Boroda said.

"In the long term, the whole world will appreciate it, all these trends will pass by and everything will return to normal. Unisexual unions have not given birth to children yet, the concept of true and sincere love exists only in the union of a man and a woman. God created Adam, created Eve and told them: "be fruitful and multiply", so it may take some time, but then the whole world will see that Russia has always stood on it, has always treasured historical values based on Divine Commandments," Boroda said on air Rossiya-24 TV channel.

When asked if he considers this amendment a violation of the LGBT community rights, the rabbi said that he does not know what the rights of the LGBT community are. "According to the Divine laws, these unions are not legitimate before God - the Torah, the Old Testament, all confessions consider them deviations, vices," Boroda said.

He believes that the state has the right to "be blunt" and fix the things important for the state, in this case, it is the birth rate, which is possible only in the union of a man and a woman.
