Moscow, June 12, Interfax - Russian Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar is to be discharged from the hospital within hours after he started recovering from coronavirus.
"He is to be discharged from the hospital probably within the next few hours. Computer tomography has shown that everything is back to normal, he hasn't had any fever for a long time, and so everything is fine," Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia (FJCR) spokesperson Boruch Gorin told Interfax on Friday.
The rabbi is in high spirits, as "it's very important for him to be at home on Shabbat," he said.
Medical specialists insisted on hospitalizing Lazar on June 4, as he required more intensive treatment for coronavirus.
