Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov recovered from coronavirus

Moscow, May 19, Interfax - Head of the patriarch's commission for family affairs, Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov who was hospitalized with coronavirus on May 5 has already recovered, a source with the priest's entourage told Interfax on Tuesday.

"The virus, from which Father Dimitry has been treated, is no longer in him. The priest feels much better, but he is still in the hospital, where doctors are supervising him to avoid possible complications after the disease," he said.

As reported, Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov has recently undergone a surgery and as he is 69 years old, he belongs to the risk group.
