Head of the Byelorussian Orthodox Church to fly along the country’s borders with relics and prayers to stop coronavirus

Minsk, April 2, Interfax - Metropolitan Pavel of Minsk and Zaslavl will carry out a flight along the state borders with main shrines of the Byelorussian Orthodox Church, the metropolitan writes in his letter to the diocesan administrations.

Venerated copies of the cross of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the Icon of the Mother of God of Zhyrovichy and the cross with particles of the holy relics will be on the board of his helicopter. During the flight the metropolitan will say a prayer to stop coronavirus infection spreading.

Late in March, the head of the Byelorussian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate flew with shrines on board around Minsk, thus conducting an air procession with cross.
