Patriarch Kirill prays for the end of pandemic

Moscow, March 28, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill prays for cessation of the coronavirus pandemic and urges the Church to intensify its prayers, church's spokesman Vladimir Legoyda writes at his Telegram channel.

"In current difficult times when the coronavirus infection spreads all over the world His Holiness Patriarch Kirill urges all hierarchs, clerics, monks and laymen of the Russian Orthodox Church to intensify their prayers," head of the Moscow Patriarchate Administration Metropolitan Dionisy wrote in his circular letter to all hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The metropolitan also recommended to say the prayer for salvation from coronavirus infection (maleficent plague), which was earlier suggested for Moscow and the Moscow Region.
