Moscow, December 20, Interfax - The former press secretary for Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, priest Alexander Volkov, will now head an information institution of the Moscow Diocese.
"Today, on the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, in accordance with the decision of the Moscow Diocesan Council, I have been appointed head of the Moscow Diocese's Information Commission. We will work with renewed vigor in our native diocese, there are many ideas and plans," Father Alexander told journalists on Friday.
He said this does not mean that he is now open for all comments. "Please don't ring the phone off the hook. This work is primarily interior, not in the public field," he said.
Father Alexander Volkov, father superior of the St. Sergius of Radonezh Church in Solntsevo, headed Patriarch Kirill's press service from June 2012 to September 2019.
