Moscow, November 7, Interfax - Jewish religious and cultural center Zhukovka won the international prize in the field of real estate European Property Awards 2019.
The community center won in four categories: "Architecture of public projects", "Design of public buildings", "Construction of public projects" and "Interior of public project", the press service of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia reported.
The awards ceremony was held in London.
"The authoritative jury highly appreciated the architectural solution of the center, recognizing it as the best public project in Europe," the press service said.
The Jewish religious and cultural center Zhukovka opened in the village of the same name near Moscow in 2015 becomes one of the largest projects of the Federation of Jewish Communities. In the building with an area of more than 5 thousand square meters there is a synagogue for 250 people, a mikvah (swimming pool for ablution), a library, a restaurant, a children's development center, a small guest house. The authorship of the project belongs to the English architectural Bureau Gensler.
European Property Awards is the largest professional award which celebrates the best projects in the field of residential and commercial real estate in Europe. The jury consists of 70 independent professional experts who evaluate projects on such criteria as design, quality, operation, innovation, originality, compliance with the principles of sustainable development.
A year ago, the community center in Zhukovka won the International Property Awards, which was also presented in London.
