Moscow, May 6, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has offered his support to the families whose members have been killed or injured in the Sukhoi Superjet 100's crash at Sheremetyevo Airport.
"His Holiness Patriarch Kirill is deeply saddened by what happened at Sheremetyevo Airport yesterday. He is praying for the eternal rest of those who died in the accident and for the recovery of the people who are currently at hospitals," the patriarch's spokesman priest Alexander Volkov told reporters on Monday.
The patriarch is sending his blessing and words of support for the victims' families and also those who are helping those injured at the moment, he said.
With the patriarch's blessing, priests will visit injured people who are now being treated at Moscow hospitals.
