Moscow, January 9, Interfax - Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, the deputy head of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, was added to the database of the Ukrainian website Myrotvorets on Christmas.
The priest was added to the website's database as an "anti-Ukrainian propagandist" and an "opponent of the independence of Ukrainian Orthodox Christianity from the Russian Orthodox Church, which is controlled by the aggressor state, Russia."
Myrotvorets, launched in 2014, contains personal information about individuals whom the creators of the website describe as separatists or "agents of the Kremlin." The information is sometimes illegally collected and is published without those individuals' consent.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev, vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Metropolitan Pavel and several other prominent clergymen of the Moscow Patriarchate are included in the database.
