Ukrainian Orthodox Church not making any payments to Russian Orthodox Church - Legoyda

Moscow, October 9, Interfax - The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate does not transmit any money to the Russian Orthodox Church, Vladimir Legoyda, head of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for Church, Society and Media Relations, said.

"There are no financial relations. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church does not make any payments or remittances," Legoyda told State Duma members on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian Church does not pay anything to the common church budget and all of the money and property of the Moscow Patriarchate's Ukrainian Church are within that Church, he said.
