Moscow, March 27, Interfax - The Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia is ready to extend help in providing medical treatment to those who were injured in the fire in a shopping center in Kemerovo and need specific help or rare medicines.

"Every now and then God sends us hard trials. But in such hours He expects from us manifestation of the best human qualities - compassion, solidarity, readiness to help. I want to assure that Jewish community of Russia is ready to give all its potential for providing help to people, for whom doctors in Kemerovo are now fighting," chief rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar said in his message to governor of the region Aman Tuleyev.

If the injured people need specific medical help or special medicine lacking in Russia, "we can get it abroad with the help of Jews in Israel, USA and other countries," Lazar further writes.

According to the rabbi, now Jews pray that God gives repose to the souls of victims, grants consolation to relatives and recovery to people who suffer from burns and injuries.

"Human death, especially death of a child is always a tragedy. But it is even greater tragedy, if such death becomes the result of not so-called natural processes, but irresponsibility and sloppiness," FJCR president Alexander Boroda said in his message of condolences.
