Moscow, January 11, Interfax - The share of Russians who condemn sexual relations of married people outside of marriage have grown from 50% in 1998 to 68%, and those who condemn homosexual relations from 68% to 81%, Levada Center told Interfax.
According to the poll, the share of those who do not approve of abortions (even if they are caused by low income) has grown from 12% to 35%.
"It is interesting that in 2008 young men aged from 18 to 30 in level of homophobia much differed from mature men aged above 31 (difference in "absolute support" among them made 17%), today there is no difference at all. The same is true about women: the difference was 12%, today there is no such difference," Levada Center said.
Experts also pointed out to the tendency of growing conservative evaluations of abortions caused by financial problems: earlier every fifth woman was against such abortion, today - every third woman does not approve of it.
