Moscow, December 7, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia believes American pilgrims could come to Russia more often.
"We would be glad to receive more pilgrims from the American Orthodox Church. We have what to show people, who are interested in Orthodoxy, especially to those who belong to Orthodoxy in the North American continent," the patriarch said at his meeting with Metropolitan Tikhon of America and Canada in Moscow.
Many pilgrims from China were coming to Russia, the patriarch said.
"When I visit the Holy Trinity - St. Sergius Lavra on church feasts, I wonder who makes the majority: Russian pilgrims or Chinese tourists," the Russian church primate joked, but added that he treated them with love as "they are interested in church life," and sometimes come up to get blessing.
