Russian Jews point out to Patriarch Kirillís special role in opposing Anti-Semitism and xenophobia

Moscow, November 1, Interfax - President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia Alexander Boroda thanked Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for opposing Anti-Semitism and promoting traditional values.

"I want to say the words of gratitude for principal position, voiced more than once, against Anti-Semitism and xenophobia, it is a priceless contribution in development of inter-religious relations in our country," he said at the opening of the 21st World Russian People's Council.

He pointed out that the Russian Orthodox Church and personally Patriarch Kirill plays "enormous role" in developing spiritual and family values, in promoting moral values and expressed "enormous gratitude" for it on behalf of the Russian Jewish community.

The rabbi said that unlike Russia, "in western countries many people choose and actively promote vicious lifestyle which entirely contradicts to the divine law," and according to Boroda, this lifestyle "destroys the society."
