Relics of St. Nicholas come to Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, July 13, Interfax - The relics of St. Nicholas were brought to the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg on Thursday morning, the press center for the headquarters for the bringing of the holy relics told Interfax.

Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga has conducted a liturgy devoted to the bringing of the holy relics in the cathedral.

"It will be followed by a prayer. Access to believers who want to bow to the holy relics will open at 4:00 p.m. The line is already forming," the press service said.

Access to the holy relics will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m., it said.

According to earlier reports, almost two million pilgrims bowed to the relics of St. Nicholas during their stay in Moscow.
