Moscow, February 13, Interfax - St. Stephan Church is seized in the village of Kotyuzhiny, the Ternopol Region, Ukraine.
Representatives of the self-proclaimed Kiev Patriarchate supported by the Right Sector (organization banned in Russia - IF) captured the church that was under jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Saturday, press service of the UOC Information and Education Department reported.
It is further said that the seizure was "committed according to the standard scheme."
Representatives of the Right Sector arrived at the village to the meeting of local residents where they intimidated believers of the canonical church and demanded to deprive them of the right to pray in their church, press service informs.
From the beginning of military actions in Ukraine representatives of the self-proclaimed Kiev Patriarchate seized several dozens of UOC churches, some of them were captured with the support of local authorities and radical nationalists.
