Moscow, October 13, Interfax - The Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center on Branly Embankment in Paris will open on October 19 as planned, despite the cancellation of the visit to France by Russian President Vladimir Putin, his aide Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.
"It will start working from October 19," he told reporters on Thursday, responding to a question as to whether the cancellation of Putin's visit to Paris will affect the start of the work of the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Center.
Ushakov said two exhibitions devoted to the history of the center's construction and Russian-French relations will open in the center on the first day of its work. He also said a session of the Russian-Language Press Congress is planned.
"This center will be working actively from the first day, the first hour after its opening," Ushakov said.
