Simferopol, September 2, Interfax - Representatives of sexual minorities will not be able to hold public events in Crimea, said Sergey Aksyonov, the acting leader of the Republic of Crimea.
"This is definitely not our style. We in Crimea do not need such people, and they will never hold their events publicly. The police and self-defense (a volunteers' force which has been operating in Crimea since the start of preparations for the referendum over the region's status - IF) will react quickly and explain within three minutes the orientation one should hold to," Aksyonov told the Crimean Council of Ministers in Simferopol on Tuesday.
The head of the Crimean government also said that young people in the region should be taught a positive attitude towards the family institution and traditional values.
