Okhlobystin steps down as chief creative officer of Euroset after LGBT threats

Moscow, January 15, Interfax - Ivan Okhlobystin has said he is resigning as chief creative officer (CCO) of Euroset.

"In view of incessant threats, provocations and insults from Sodomites against my friends, my partners and their families, I have, after all, been able to resign as chief creative officer of Euroset," Okhlobystin wrote on Twitter. "My position, which I will never renounce, must not harm people who are close to me. Sodom and Gomorra must be destroyed!"

Okhlobystin was appointed as CCO of Euroset in December 2010. On January 7, 2013, he wrote an open letter on Twitter to President Vladimir Putin calling for the re-criminalization of gay sex.

Euroset chief executive Alexander Malis said a few days ago that Okhlobystin's letter to Putin would not make the company fire him.
