Meeting between Obama, LGBT activists in Russia is double standards - diplomat

Moscow, September 9, Interfax - Russian Foreign Minister's commissioner for human rights, democracy and supremacy of law Konstantin Dolgov believes that a meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and activists of LGBT movement in St. Petersburg is a manifestation of double standards.

"A meeting between Obama and gay-activists in St. Petersburg against the backdrop of LGBT discrimination in the United States is another double standard of Americans," Dolgov wrote in his Twitter.

"Such a selective approach in the declared support of civil society in Russia strengthens doubts of real reasons for such 'assistance'," Dolgov wrote.
