Voronezh, January 21, Interfax - An organizer of a rally protesting a bill that would impose fines on citizens for homosexual propaganda among minors, has been beaten up in Voronezh, an Interfax correspondent reported from the scene.
A young man was beaten up by activists as they were breaking up a rally against "the homophobic bill," that started on Nikitskaya Square near a movie theater at 2 p.m..
The injured victim was hospitalized.
Snowballs were thrown at about a dozen remaining demonstrators, who were subsequently collected by police and moved away from the scene.
The number of angry opponents was twice as large.
