Yerevan, February 25, Interfax - The Armenian Apostolic Church has called on the country's political forces to secure a solution to today's internal political crisis through talks.
"We call on the president, the prime minister, the parliament speaker, and the leaders of all political forces to find a way out of this dire situation at the negotiating table," the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin said in a statement.
The church deems any "further deterioration of the situation" as unacceptable.
"We call on our people to demonstrate responsibility, not to yield to provocations, and avert civil clashes," it said. |
