Minsk, December 24, Interfax - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated fellow citizens on Christmas Eve, the presidential press service said in a statement on Thursday.
"These wonderful winter days are always brightened up by the expectation of a miracle. Consistent with the centuries-old good tradition, believers rethink their lives, learn forgiveness, help the needy, and open their hearts to true love, wisdom, and mercy," Lukashenko said.
Christian values "have long become the spiritual pillar that unites people of various nationalities and creates the atmosphere of mutual trust, support, tolerance, respect, and hospitality which Belarus is famous of," he said.
"Let the light of the Christmas star yet again bring peace, accord, and hope," Lukashenko said. |
