Patriarch Kirill’s Christmas greetings to heads of non-Orthodox confessions

I heartily congratulate you on the great feast of the Nativity of Christ and New Year! The Lord’s angel announced humble shepherds the joy of God incarnation and the Star of Bethlehem miraculously showed them the way to the Child over two thousand years ago.

Under conditions of modern civilization, when many people lose spiritual and moral compass, the Star of Bethlehem is still showing the way to the Lord to all who seek light of the Divine Truth.

Today as ever, good news of Christ’s Birth gives a person the only secure hope for life renovation, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11.)

I wish you pure Christmas joy, good health and help from the Incarnate Lord in Your high service.
